Anyone have any good or bad reviews for this DJ?

LI Sounds

I know a TON of brides rave about them. When I met them they just weren't my style. I felt like they were too 'Jersey Shore' and in your face.

This is how FH & I felt. They weren't for us, but I could see them keeping a party going.

Same for us. They've done most of the weddings we've been too and have a big party type of vibe which is what we wanted. We knew we'd book them before we even made an appointment but I do agree that they're not for everyone.

I worked for a catering hall and saw them in action all the time...they are great, but then again, I never saw a bad DJ...just boring guests who woudn't dance no matter what!!!

We met with them and their showcase was great! We decided on another company though because they seemed to commercial for us and we like to work more with smaller companies.

Most, if not all, DJ's are great! It really depends on your crowd. If it's an older crowd, try and find one that's not so in your face. If it's a young wedding, the crazy hyper DJ might be better. We went with In The Mood DJ... they seemed to have a little of both... young energetic DJ and ones a little on the older side.

We thought the same thing but the owner Chris showed us the way! Lol he was really down to earth and said they were absolutely capable of playing to the crowd. We were worried about the same thing but were extremely impressed with his professionalism! Fh is a sound guy, does corporate and event av so this was a big check for him. He said not only was he happy going with them but impressed with the quality of equipment they used.

We booked LI Sound we loved them-we want our reception to be like a club no oldies, no chicken dances, etc lol. I really liked that they can get a party going. The video's they showed us were amazing as well. We splurged for that package!

I really liked them when I met with them. While they are capable of giving that 'club' vibe, that wasn't our style and they definitely showcased how they could do it to match our style. The only reason we went with another vendor was because of pricing -- we got a preferred vendor package with the one we booked with because of our venue! But otherwise I probably would have picked LI Sound!

Ok, Thanks! I better get this ball rolling. FH wants to go with me to meet DJ's and Photographers but he keeps working overtime and and we have to keep canceling appointments. It is so frustrating but I can't get mad since we need the money.

I hear ya!! FH works for ConEd and we just make appts on the weekend because i have had to reschedule too many times. If it happens that he has to work on the weekend I keep the appt, go with my mom & if I like them I go back with FH. Its annoying but if I wait for him to be available it will never get done lol

FH is an electrician with Local 3 so I feel your pain. I think I may have to start going on my own to look at DJ's and photographers just to get price quotes and weed out the ones I definitely don't like.
