LI Temples?

Re: LI Temples?

Here is what I have found, it is very difficult to find a catering hall that has in house kosher catering. They are far and few-- Crest Hollow, The Sands (where I'm getting married), so temple prices use an in-house kosher caterer to keep the costs down.

I visited Temple Beth El in Cedarhurst, they are Seaview Caterers. It's a big temple and the room for the reception is very pretty and big. Like a big ball room. They want about $100 per person. I wasn't very impressed with their menu offerings, I got a much more extensive menu offering at the Sands.

My brother got married at The Sephardic Temple of Cedarhurst, which is also really, really nice. He got married two years ago, and payed about $120 a head, prices have gone down in the past two years, so you may want to check with them.

But if you are looking to do a kosher wedding somewhere, I definitely recommend The Sands. :)
I've also heard the East Meadow Jewish center is very nice.

Hope this help. FM me if you have any questions!

Temple prices are usually more than a RH because the food is kosher.

If you don't need a kosher wedding you can get married at any reception hall and just have the ceremony in the temple.
