Is there a way to post a permanent 'Sticky' post to the top of the board welcoming all the new members, and kind of giving them a run down of ground rules and what can happen if they are broken?

There is a Rules button, but I don't think alot of people have been reading it lately.

awesome idea! i was so afraid at first and was looking for something like that. especially to explain all the terms and stuff that we use (FH, LMAO, BM, FILs, etc.) i still don't think i know all the rules

Yep, but at least the stupid ones would find out that IP addresses identify you!
Edited to add: I know about the chat rules button, but no one visits it. If it's the first post, more people will be inclined to click on a post than that.... My point is also to make the lurkers who are afraid to post, feel better about doing so...
