For the ladies that have taken E-pics or wedding pics would you know if a permit is needed to take pictures at this location?

Many thanks!!

I think it may be too must traveling. My ceremony is in Elmhurst then go to LIC then head out to LI, it's alot and not enough time.

Yea- come up, I'll sneak you and DH- the bridal party, and the photo crew onto the terrace- no one will see you, lol!

Its not too bad- it's seriously 2 mins from the LIE.

My ceremony is in Astoria, from there we're heading to Water Taxi Beach (2 blocks away) and then to the LIE towards Fox Hollow. I wouldn't count it out just yet- drive over there in another 3 weeks....they expanded the esplanade and they put down LOTS of grass and there's all these geese, really beautiful with the city in the background. If you want the skyline, I can't think of where else you could go.

I guess that's the question, do you want City or park setting- there's tons of BEAUTIFUL locations close to your RH if you want a park setting.

So funny; I grew up in LIC but don't know where 'Gantry Park' is. Maybe I've been there but never knew its called 'Gantry Park.'

The timing would depend at what time is your church and what time is your reception? from elmhurst to LIC it take 30 max local-15 express way, and to LI (Leonards) it should take 30-40 minutes max....lol So it really depends.

ETA: Oh my Gosh! I googled Gantry Park and its where we took our wedding pics...P.S. I did not pay a thing. I saw it as a public park therefore I could just showed up and took pics...no one said anything to me....who would you take to about paying anways? they city? that's ridiculious. I see no difference in e-pic and wedding pics.

You're very lucky your ceremony and Water Taxi Beach is close to you so you don't waste time getting there. That sounds really beautiful and the city skyline would look amazing. I looked for a park setting by my RH but everything seemed kind of far. I have a very short timeframe my ceremony is at 10:30 probably will end at 11 then my CH is at 12 which i know FH wants to be there to eat lol. So if i could get to my RH by 12:30 that would be okay but i need someplace close to my RH. I thought about Flushing Meadow but it can get crazy in the afternoon.

Well I didn't know it was 'Gantry Park'

Just googled and I didn't pay anything. I had the limo pull in we all got out, we were there for 30-40 minutes. No one said anything, plus that park is open to the public how on earth do they charge $130?

ETA: to your photo stalker...I'm one of those too...lol
