LIers going to work?

Of course my freakin' company is open - not sure how that's possible after the night we had! But I first have to focus on getting DH home from the city.

Is anyone else going to work on the island? Not sure if I should go in this afternoon.....

I got the call that we are to report to work today. I understand power's back on, but you think they'd tell us to stay home after the night we just went through. A lot of us had loved ones stuck in the city and I'm sure we're all very tired. Plus it's a friday, close the **** place.

I know - I just called my dept and half are in already?! HUH? I told my boss that DH was still stuck in the city, and he was great with everything, but the Co policy is that I'd need to take a vacation day At this point I'd prefer to go in later and not get charged the day.

It's a Friday in the summer - how productive will any of us be today after everything that's happened?!
