Lighting

I'm considering having my reception at the Patchogue Manor.

Has anyone had their/attended a reception there? Experiences? Thoughts?

The one downfall I can see is the lightning, it seemed to be just plain flourescent which is just really unappealing. I was thinking of bringing in candles or something to fix that..but I thought maybe they do something different for weddings.

i have also heard that changing some bulbs to colored ones, like pink, is an easy way to add drama to a room and create a romantic ambiance...I was thinking of doing that...I have never been to the Patchouge Manor though..

well regardless of lighting, I LOVE when its lit by candlelight, having alot of candles gives it this nice romantic look...If you have a problem with their lighting i would bring it up to them and see what alternatives they have, if not then def go for the candles
