sorry, most of us got it through our dj's so thats why youre not getting alot of feedback, dont feel were not trying to help lol. I don't know if this will help but through a dj, depending on what type of lights you get, it can be anywhere from $800-about 1k on average and some a little over $1k. But I think with a lighting company many of them will charge more for that, with a dj you are already paying for other services so they can work with that price more. For just lighting i think they might charge just a little bit more, thats what i heard at least but who knows

Here is one place in LI that does just lighting, you can call for quotes

No...I knew you guys were just not helping...I figured most of you girls got the lighting through your djs....

my dj doesn't do it but I am hearing some florists offer it and I have not chosen mine yet...so that could be an option. I was just more concerned with getting an idea of prices...so thanks!!!

oh yeah that is right, alot of florists do lighting too. Maybe it would be best to book the florist first and see if the florist you book does the lighting, and if not then look for an outside company.

I just checked out that web site that you posted and their prices START at $2000....that is way out of my budget...fingers crossed that the florist I chose has lighting...

I got it thru my DJ for $1500. It transformed the entire look of the room, it was amazing, and def worth it.

Re: lighting

i got lighting through my florist (flower michele)....i know other florists and djs do it as well....and actual 'lighting companies'.

i think when we first looked the avg was about $75 per 'can'...like per piece of light shooting up. the lighting companies tend to be more expensive. and it depends on the light...some of them move, move and do lots of colors, some are just still and one color etc., some are tied to the beat in the music.

i dont know how much it actually ended up costing us personally since we did a lot and got a discount. i think i have a pic in my non pro album of what ours looked like.

as far as color...they are white...but they put a filter over the can to change the color. u can either have it stay one color or have them change. again that will depend on the type of light.
