Re: lighting?
It is totally up to you. I wanted more for the dance floor than anything else. We are having kids at our reception and I am too worried to have the boxes all over the room that the kids will break them ore get hurt. The only reason I got it was i got included in my DJ package. But i also think it depends on the hall and look you are going for.

Re: lighting?
It really depends on the room...we are not getting any lighting but then again we are having an afternoon wedding in a sun filled room. I've heard room lighting adds something to an evening wedding but I can't say for sure as I've never actually seen it.
I'm not getting it...but thats also because I'm a day wedding in the dome room so it will be bright enough.

if i get it, it will be a last minute thing, it depends how much is left in the budget, its not a 'must have' for me.

Re: lighting?
we had uplighting all around the room as well as lights for the music - in pictures it looks pretty but in our video it looks spectacular (its on the timeless treasure blog).....but it depends on what vibe you are going for - some rooms look beautiful without it too

Re: lighting?
we're getting uplighting and thats it. we have no other dj lighting because i dont like all the strobes and crazy lights, looks like a club to me and we didnt want that feel for the wedding

Re: lighting?
It looks really nice, but it's one of things that I'll only do if the budget allows it. My RH provides it but it pretty expensive.

I completely agree. We wanted it but then it was just too much money and our DJ price would be way over budget. Uplighting is very nice but you really need to have a nice budget for it.

Re: lighting?
We are having uplighting in addition to the typical 'dj' lighting packages. I think uplighting just adds something special to the room
