i am doing uplighting....10 pink lights for the entire room...should look nice...its better look nice...they swore it would look nice LOL..oh and i like forced my dj to give it to me for a sick price...lol..fh was embarrassed how rough i get with negotiating but hey a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and the guy knows its business n he was laughing during it lol.

ITA... it changes the ambiance in the room.

i didnt think i wanted uplighting at first but then i saw some pics and fell in love

Perimeter lighting (uplighting) is something that I always loved and thought I would not be able to get. I thought I would not be able to afford it, but I got a good deal with my DJ and so I am sooo excited I can't wait.

But lighting is up to you...if your room doesn't need it & you don't want to spend money on it, then don't do it.

I am leaning towards uplighting, but I want to meet with the DJ again and see different options and get his feedback on how it would look in my RH room

With what company, and how many uplights?
I got quoted 1445 for 24 uplights and monogram. Do you girls think thats expensive

I completely agree. We wanted it but then it was just too much money and our DJ price would be way over budget. Uplighting is very nice but you really need to have a nice budget for it.

Tralana you would be crazy to put up-lighting in your room!!!! none of the rooms there would look good with up-lighting. its too much of a modern thing for that place.

I was quoted about 1700 for 30 fixtures and a monogram, which also includes 2 lighting technicians for the evening. My room is big, but that is a lot of fixtures. . .
