FH and I are going to meet with a lighting guy on Thur. The guy called me up and was asking me all these question, I was like hold on talk to my fiancee. DJ and lights are two things he so excited about I put all that on him. I love that he so involved it makes things so much easier.

Thats cool. It really is nice when FH is involved. Im grateful that mines is also.
We got lighting from our photog/video vendor so Im happy about that. Good luck on your appt on Thurs!

maybe you can fill me in on how that goes...i guess i assumed lighting came from florists or dj's...i wonder what a lighting company offers or what the pricing difference is by using them>?

We could of did lighting through the DJ but FH decided not to. I know some of the florist do uplighting but I have not looked into flowers yet. I leave this part up to FH because I am clueless. I know were thinking of getting uplighting, intelligence lights and a monogram but I don't know the differences in quality and stuff like that. I'll give you any info I get after the meeting tomorrow.

Be careful with uplighting--just a sidebar that apparently in a video everything looks like the color of the uplighting.
So--say you have pink uplighting--everything in your video will look pink when editing it--

oh wow...i didn't know that!! i was considering like maybe an amber uplighting or something more natural looking to enhance a lot of candle light...but i guess that should be re-considered

Intelligent lighting is the thing you see on TV (american idol or who wants to be a millionaire) the big white lights that move around. Sometimes the are used as spot lights or set to the tone of the music. I don't know how else to explain it.
