Lillette's Bridal!

So I am thinking about making an appointment at Lillette's since they have the designers I have fallen in love with...my only problem is whether they will have many things for me to try on.

I am not a small girl and my wedding gown size can range from a 12 to 14, depending upon the designer. I'm worried that I will get there and will not be able to try on many dresses!

Any thoughts? Experiences?

I had a great experience at lillettes, I also fell in love with the designers they carried, I cant speak for all the sample sizes but I tried on a few Casablanca dresses and they were sample size 12

defiantly make an appt at lilettes...ask for Gerri - she is amazing!!!
I got a Maggie, and the sample I tried on was a 24
they have a good range of sizes

I went to about 8 salons and ending up getting my dress at Lillettes', I had a great experience, ask for Joan she is such a sweetheart!!

Thanks! I was a bit thrown off when someone said size 14 was plus sized...just seems a bit strange to me. I will definitely make an appointment with them!

I went there for BM gowns and Joan was great however for Bridal gowns I felt like they didnt have much of a selection. Try Bridal Reflections Massapequa, Village Bridal, or Davids Bridal they have beautiful Vera Wang gowns

How are the sizes at BR in Massapequa??

Depends on what type of gown you want. I think they had quite a few now that I remember! James Clifford, Jim Hjelm, Justin Alexander maybe? Paloma blanca or casablanca? I don't remember my mind is confused where I tried those on. A lot of brands in big sizes I just cant remember!

I just didn't want them because they were very blingy or had lots of beading for my tastes and by that point I think I had already known what kind of dress I wanted. I might not have given the dresses a fair chance! I rejected lots and lots of nice ones. I really liked a Jim Hjelm dress there though, and my mom loved a few dresses there on me but she likes the bling and beads.

My consultant there was very nice and brought lots of dresses to try. I just dont remember if they all closed up in the back. There were a lot of pretty ones and the store is not as hectic as Carle Place! But Carle Place has a bigger selection so you should go there too.

You only go dress shopping once hopefully so do it right and search search search!
