lillettes brides

How much are you paying for a hem and bustle??
I just got back from my first fitting and they are charging me 385 for the hem (125) the bustle (150) cups (20) and slip (90).... Plus tax...

Anyone think that's ridiculous???

I'm so upset right now.

Didn't order from Lillette's but I think most places charge 150 for the bustle

Haven't had alterations yet so I can't comment on the rest

i know bridal reflections was more than that when i was shopping around.... i didn't do my alterations yet but im a lillettes bride. some brides dont wear those slips so that's an obviously extra fee if you want one. you are only getting cups, where other girls get long-line bras (which would be more $ so you are saving money). i think it all evens out. can do you a less dramatic bustle (like one that requires less ribbons or buttons)??

i didn't know it was taxed though. don't let this get you down...in the scheme of things, its not that much. and you'll look gorgeous. :)

I didn't need a hem because I did hem to hollow, but my alterations were around $130 for cups and to take the bodice in, and I think another $200 for my bustle. It was a 20-point bustle

I had 5 bustles put in and it was 50.00. My alterations came out to 238- that's hem and taken in. and it was 20.00 for the cups.

I go on Sat for my first fitting and I will report back... I got hollow to hem for my dress too and they charged me $100 for that already. I won't be getting cups but had to buy a long line bra (50 dollars)...I figure at least that I get to keep and use again if I need to for a strapless dress someday... I want a simple bustle...and hope they make it so. I know before I go that they will need to take in the bust area as it was very big at the try on session when I ordered it.

My peeve is paying cash for the dress...It is alot of money to have in cash... I have to pay the balance left of $700 Sat...I am curios if the alterations will need to be done in cash..ugh. I loved the service so far there though.

You don't have to pay in cash - you can pay by check for the dress and alterations.

Thanks girls.
I guess its not bad then. Just wasn't expecting that at all. And geri told me when I ordered my dress that it would be a 3 ribbon bustle, $60 bucks. So that's what I had in my head, and now she is saying she never said that. And its going to be a 14 point bustle. I'm not home, so I can't check my invoice. I think she wrote it down.

And you can only pay by check if the dress is still in the store. On pick up its all cash, if you have any balance. I paid the balance for the dress, but holding out until alterations are finished to pay that bill. And that's cash only.
