Re: Limo Accident
I just read this morning that this guy had some strange prior convictions... He was arrested for DUI in Mississippi...he was arrested for driving the wrong way on a one way street when he was 15!!!
Did you read about the Mother's story...? So incredible sad...about the daughter's head... I cannot imagine how she can function....I cannot imagine what I would be like...I think in a mental hospital or ugh...God only knows. I hope the family can make it through this... The story of the Mother's words was one that really hit me so hard...I forwarded it to all I know. She needed to be graphic like that to really, really get to people. I wish I could help or turn back time for her...so so sad.

Re: Limo Accident
When are the laws going to be changed on drunk driving? My heart is with the families of the little girl and the limo driver.
Another case: the guy who fled the van accident on the Southern State a few weeks ago would have only received a ticket had he not taken off. EXCUSE ME? He is responsible for the deaths of 3 people. He's only in trouble for hit and run? He may not have been drunk, but these are severe problems!!!

I was reading it in the deli yesterday at lunch and basically started crying right there all by myself. It was awful...I agree that as graphic as the language may have been it hopefully opened up some would be drunk drivers ears and some future tragedies will hopefully be prevented as a result of this....hopefully

The article is in Newsday today about his NUMEROUS prior convictions!!!! Whatever his sentence is ultimately going to be, it should be DOUBLED because of that!!!!!!

Re: Limo Accident
I think if you drink and drive you should go to jail. If you kill someone either get death or sit in jail FOREVER. There are so many ways to get home if you are to drunk to drive. Drinking and Driving KILLS and it needs to be STOPPED!!!! This sad is just so sad.
As far as opening up drivers ears. I hate to say it but it wont!
I lost a friend from High School who was hit and killed by a drunk driver. NO joke the whole school showed up at his wake. Even people who werent friends with him! AND YOU KNOW WHAT 2 YEARS LATTER ONE OF THE LOSERS FROM HIGH SCHOOL HIT AND KILLED 2 PEOPLE DOWN THE BLOCK FROM WHERE THE OTHER ACCIDENT HAPPENED!

I just dont understand why they are not convicted of murder. He ia an adult and obviously knew not to drink and drive. He made a conscious decision to disobey the law and put others at risk!!! Murder is murder IMO
I agree, and I think that the DUI & DWI laws are waaaay too lenient, and it is too easy to *get off*

I can't believe that he has priors for this as well This makes me so mad that he was still able to be on the road
