Hi! I know this was asked very recently and I've done a search with a few keywords but I can't find the previous thread.
Were any of you required to pay your limo balance in advance-if so did that make you nervous?

We are paying whatever is left the day of. We're making envelopes for each vendor, putting the money, what's due, and a copy of the contracts and receipts in the envelope, and giving it to our Best Man. I don't feel comfy paying off 100% of the money b/c you just never know what can happen.

Out of curiosity - what happens if the limos don't show up or show up late? They have your money already - what would you do?

You would contact anohter company, have a back up and sue them.
Honestly, all of my vendors require payment prior to the day of. I have legal binding contracts, if they require payment in advance anyway, why am I going to carry the money on the day of? All my vendors are paid (thank God) and I speak with them enough to know that they are well aware thay they have not provided me with any services and my date is coming up.
I didn't meet with any vendors that required payment the day of...and my vendors are all insured and real, so I think it totally depends.

We were required to do so but were not happy about it, SO my DH argued that we be able to put it on our credit card. THANK GOD!!!! Turns out we had a really bad experience and had to stop payment on the card!!!
If you do pay ahead of time use a credit card!!!!

We are not required to pay the entire baland before the wedding. I think I might pay most of it but still leave some for the day of the wedding. Who's to say they show up if they already have all your money.
