Limo's for onsite ceremony?

ANy ladies who are having the ceremony at the RH using a limo? I'm thinking we don't really need one and it could be a good place to cut back on $$.

Thoughts??

I'm thinking the same thing. My only concern is that we're taking pictures before the ceremony at a different location. I'm thinking I might need a limo to get the bridal party from the hotel to the picture site and then to the RH. I would also love to hear what other brides have done! The limo situation makes my head hurt!

I've been going back and forth with this too and would really love opinions. I need a way to transport myself and the bridal party from and to the RH. I really don't want to drive myself to my own wedding. The other option is to take a shuttle/cab back and forth, which I'm still undecided about.

We are having a party bus pick us up separately to go to the reveal location then ride together to the rh for ceremony. We got a 3.5 hr package

We are taking pictures before the ceremony as well. I guess an idea would be to rent one limo to bring you and the bridal party and the groom to the location where you will be taking pictures, then to the RH. then you would only be paying for a couple of hours vs. the whole night.

On another note... we havent even begun to look at photographers - I would love to get some nice pics at a nice location - is this something you decide and the photographer goes there, or do they suggest places? I'm so clueless with this stuff lol

My FH and I just got back from meeting with a photographer and he suggested we get a limo(s) to take us from the hotel to the reveal location. We will most likely get 2 limos- boys in one and girls in the other before the reveal. The limos will then be taking us to some more picture locations and then the RH. He said we should get a 3 hour package.

Our photographer knows the RH and the area inside and out, so he gave us really good suggestions for pictures before the ceremony :)

We got a limo only bc we are doing a reveal before the ceremony. We did a 3 hr package with one limo. They will pick up the boys first then the girls. After that all will be driven to the RH. HTH!!

After I booked my photographer, he mentioned places around the area that he was familiar with and thought had nice shots. My RH is in Suffolk and I live in Nassau so I was definitely open to suggestions! I feel like most photographers will suggest places for reveals or pictures between ceremony and reception.

The one limo thing is definitely a good idea! I'm my own worst enemy though b/c I love pictures with the bride and groom by an antique car, but I don't know if 1 or 2 pictures is worth renting an antique car for $400-$450! At least that's the price ranges I'm seeing them for. Do limo companys rent them for shorter amounts of time than 3 hours?

When I was MOH for my best friend's wedding, about 3 years ago, she was getting married at a golf club (in AZ). I flew in on Thursday for her Saturday wedding. I am really close with her family and Friday night at the rehearsal dinner her 3 brothers (her bridesmen) and I found out that she never booked any transportation because her ceremony and reception were at the same place. None of us wanted her to driver herself to her own wedding so we scrambled and each called any limo companies we could find. Mind you this was less than 24 hours before the wedding. We were abled to book a hummer limo for about an hour and a half, just to get her and her bridal party (just the bride's side not the groom's). There were 7 of us. We got ready in my hotel room and when we brought her outside, she was just expecting a bunch of family cars to be ready to take us separately and she didn't even realize that limo was for her. We got some great shots and the limo driver took us to a couple of great locations and finally the wedding venue. I want to say we paid between $400-$600. Not sure of exact price but I know the bridal party split it. I'm not suggesting you wait until 24 before your wedding to do this, but I think they kinda fit us in between weddings/events. Also I'm not sure if the price was what it was because it was so last minute. It was a great moment though. Unfortunately, the groom and his guys handled their own transportation (2 personal cars). At the end of the night, the bride and groom came back to the hotel with me a FH (who had driven to the venue to meet me) and stayed in a suit across the hall from us. Again, this was AZ and we all know weddings outside of the NY tristate are and VERY different.
