Limo Time

How long did you ACTUALLY have your limo for?
All the limo companies give you a quote for 3.15 hours, can you get a quote for 4 hours? Instead of paying overtime after 3.15?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any that would quote me 4 hours. I know. It stinks...

We got a 2 limos - 1 for 4 hours and 1 for 5 hours. They take the 3 hr rate and add the overtime. Try to negotiate to not pay grat on the OT. It worked for us at 2 places.

Re: Limo Time

See this is the deal
FH doesnt want to see me until the church, which is fine.
FH and GM will go to the church in the escalade, and me and dad will go in the other car...but I only need the escalade after that for the whole BP to get to pictures and the reception. How long do you think I will need to alot for the escalade since I obviously wont need the second car for that long?

I know I dont really need to get crazy over it, but I have heard alot of people say give yourself 2-3 hours for pictures, well, that doesnt include the trip to the church, to pictures, to the hall, etc.

Would 4 hours be the nearest amount of time that I would need?

No need to apologize...this was my breakdown:

2:00pm...limo #1 (Chrysler 300C) arrives at my house to take me, my dad, my mom and my BM's to the church. Limo #1 arrives at church at 2:50pm.

2:00pm...limo #2 (Escalade) arrives at DH's house to take him, his parents, grandma and BP to church. Limo #2 arrives at church at 2:30pm.

Ceremony is from 3:00pm - 3:35pm. We have a receiving line and take pictures outside of church. Depart for Garden City Gazebo at 4:15pm.

4:15pm...limo #1 is on its way to GCG for pics. Bride and Groom are inside (alone! ).

4:15pm...limo #2 is on its way to GCG for pics. Parents and BP are inside.

5:15pm...limos arrive at GCG for pictures.

Pictures are taken until 6:15pm...formal portraits, BP pics, parent shots, etc. But keep in mind that we wanted 'natural' pictures, so even the posed ones weren't done over and over...the photographers had 3 shots and moved on as per our request. I don't know if other people take longer, but I sure as heck knew that I didn't want us to take long.

6:15pm...limos leave GCG en route to Jericho Terrace. Arrive by 6:30pm...perfect 4 1/2 hours.

After the limos left, DH and I as well as BP took pics on the JT grounds until 7:15pm...then we went to the CH.

Hope this helps!

Re: Limo Time

THANK YOU!!!

That actually helps alot, I dont want to take pictures forever...Im probably going to be anxious and anxiety ridden by that point.

3 shots, that is a good idea, I have to keep that in mind!
You are the Best!!!

You're so welcome sweetie!

And I don't think you'll be anxious...trust me, you'll be on a high. A little tip though...the limo company we hired gave us a complimentary bottle of Dom Perignon, so DH and I had our first toast after the church on the way to the park. By the time we got to the GCG I was so mellow that NOTHING mattered...I was like butter...so if you need to loosen up, get some champagne in that limo...and ride alone with your DH!
