Is anyone not getting limos because their ceremony/reception is at the same place and it is so close? I am having my ceremony and reception at the same place. We are going to get pics taken at the bayard cutting arboretum and then we go straight to TPCC. Do you think it is even worth paying for a limo? I feel like it might not even be worth it. What should I do instead?

Re: limos
How are you planning on going to the arboretum then? I'm getting married at the reception hall, but I'm using limos to take me and my dad and the BP to the hall. Then after the ceremony we are taking pics w/ the rolls. It is not costing us as much as it would if we needed the limos for longer than 3 hours. I would look around and get some quotes and then decide.

I'm getting married at the reception hall also. I'm getting ready at the hall so I don't need a limo. Our wedding is 6:30-midnight, so we'll be the first ones there and the last to leave, who's going to see us drive up/away??? We cut the limo out all together. ~~Kim

Re: limos
I would if you are having pictures taken somewhere. Why worry about who is driving. Have peace of mind. Regular Lincoln limos are reasonable.

Re: limos
We're having the ceremony and reception at the same place but FI is getting dressed at her parents so she wants a limo to get her side of the family from their home on LI to New Rochelle. I think its a waste.

Re: limos
I didnt want to get one but a few days before the wedding I ended up getting them..
I figured if I want everyone ready for pictures on time and everyone getting to the ceremony all together on time it was the best idea!
We really had a great time! The guys got the hummer and had all kinds of lights going, music blasting - it was like a disco... and we were sipping champagne having a good time in ours too :)

I am also getting married at the hall and at first we felt that a limo is an additional expense we didn't need. but then we realized that we still need a way to get there.... and since I am getting ready at home with 2 BM's and FH is staying at the hotel with the OOT folks and his groomsmen, we decided to get 1 limo for us and the BP. a pick up and drop off after the recption is not nearly as much as a 3-4 hour package.

Re: limos
get a limo especially if you have a large gown - you really dont want to be stuffing your dress into a car it willget totally wrinkled and will look terrible

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone have any recommendations for limo services?

Re: limos
I am using All Star Limo in Farmingdale. There fleet of cars are so clean - my sister and brother used them for their weddings and the staff was super nice both times. I was really surprised by how many limo places had beat up limos in their showroom.

Re: limos
I would say Royalty and Sir Oliver are the two most used and highly recommend on this site.
