Limos
My fiance doesn't understand why we should have a limo for our wedding day. THinks it's a waste of $ since we won't be travelling far and no one will really see it anyway. Is anyone willing to share rates with me? I'm just curious. I figured we'd use one to take me & bridal party to our photography site and then to the ceremony/reception site (all in same place). I'd love to have one to drive us to our hotel after the reception, but that's a lot of down time to pay for - 6 hours from beginning to end! suggestions?

Limos come in three hour allotments and they run about $350 plus tax and 20% gratuity for a 10 passenger. You could use one limo to bring everyone to the church and or reception provided everyone is in the same vicinity. As for a ride home that is separate some companies will send a car for $50 plus tip. Any additional questions just ask.

Also depending on the limo company, they will send a car (usually a town car) to pick you up at the end of the reception as a gift. You have the responsibility though, of giving that driver a gratuity.

this is amazing advice!! May I ask what companies you've used? A limo doesn't seem unreasonable after all!

anyone doing bus or trolley?
I am also having my ceremony and reception and photos all at one spot, but I was thinking a bus or trolley for the day could be nice for hotel guests. That way no one has to worry about drinking and driving...anyone have ideas about this?

Sara, We used a 10 passenger white stretch for our wedding in February. We had them take the guys and them come pick us up. They also gave us the Town Car at the end of the night. It worked out fine. We paid $350 plus gratuity and used Coachman Limo. http://www.coachmanlimo.com/

anyone doing bus or trolley?
I am doing a party bus for the wedding party and a regular bus for out of town guests. I have alot of people from out of town who won't have cars so I am getting a bus to take them to the church, then to the reception and then home at the end of the evening.

What bus company are you using to transport your guests? I can't find anything for under $1,000!

I am using Royalty Limousines on Long Island. Some companies will send a car for free to pick you up at the end of the night. They all have different throw-ins such as full bar, balloon launch, tvs, nintendo etc. Just ask when you are picking them out.

I am having a luxury coach (aka party bus) to take me to the church then afer the ceremony everyone is hopping on to go to the reception. (parents, bridal party and the new mr and mrs.) The cost was fair considering it carries 20-24 the one I choose they had a big I believe it was 36 passenger (all must be rented for a minimum of three hours.

anyone doing bus or trolley - Nicola&Karen S.
Nicola who are you using for the bus? I am looking at using either Royalty or Ultra Express. Are you using a different company? KarenS. - Try Skyliner. I don't have their number but they are located in Long Island City, Queens. I heard they have the best rates.Welcome New Vendors
