if my reception and ceremony are at the same place, is it necessary for limos? FH doesn't think so and at first i agreed too because it would save money but i'm not sure now...
how are you going to use the limos if your ceremony and reception are at the same place?

Re: limos
we're in the same situation, our ceremony is at the RH. we might rent one just for the girls and our moms to get to the RH and a car for my dad and myself, but FH doesnt think its necessary for him and the boys to get one. If we can we might not even get for the girls (it would only be 4 people) and i told my dad we can just go in his new car, lol. saving money wherever we can

thats what we were thinking about too. but my concern now i i know most of hte people in my bridal party will be drinking and that always makes me nervous with them then figuring out rides. i was thinking of having everyone meet at the hotel then have a limo take all of us to the RH and at the end having a limo take everyone back there. that way they can spend hte night at the hotel and there cars will there...

Our ceremony and reception are not at the same place, however if they were, I would get a limo for the girls from the house or hotel to the RH. It would probably be inexpensive because you would only need to get it for an hour, compared to 3 hours which is what we'll probably have to get!

that would make sense. we're only have MOHs and BMs (only 4 people in total) and none are huge drinkers, but your idea definitely makes sense.

My family is gonna stay right next to the RH, otherwise I'd be in the same situation. Does the hotel have shuttle service? That way, you'd only need to take the limo to the RH and the shuttle can take everyone back at night. If not, see about just doing pick-up service with the limo both ways.

Re: limos
My ceremony and reception are in the same place, but it's in New Rochelle and I'm getting dressed at my grandmother's house in brooklyn. We're going to have limos take us there and then FH and I are having a get away limo to take us home. I was seriously thinking about our own cars but we had to factor in alcohol intake.

09ner crashing....I am getting married at the RH as well and not using limos. You can get dressed there and it saves you some $$$

Re: limos
we are having everything at the rh, we will most likely not have any limos. I plan on staying at the hotel next door with my sister and some of my family the night before and then the rest of the bm's can meet me there and then just walk next door to the rh where i will actually put my dress on.
Then after the wedding me and fh can walk next door with everyone else to have an after party
