Due to budgeting -- did anyone NOT hire any drivers/cars, but will drive themselves to the wedding?

Re: Limos
no we didn't do that but did consider other options before doing the limo.
instead of driving yourself, could you consider a towncar to pick you up? the limo companies will do that. they also have cheaper rates for pickup/dropoff using a limo rather than hiring for 3 hours. maybe that would fit your budget.

Re: Limos
Yeah I was considering it since I really don't like the look ... its a little too cliche for me
I don't like the idea of driving myself and FH though, since we will be changing in the hotel.
So we might end up getting some kind of nice car service.

Re: Limos
Me & FH were actually considering for a little while skipping the limo and renting a really nice hummer from someplace like Avis for the day. It comes out to a lot cheaper only because in this case you have this really cool lookin' car that you get to use AFTER the reception as well (rather than those usual 3 hr rentals the limos make you pay an arm & a leg for). We still didn't decide on that tho. My FH likes to be different, I however am a big fan of the old traditions, so we may just do the limo. Either way - as long as I get there to marry him, i'll be happy
