I am starting to get ready at 8am. Pictures without fiance at 11am. Fiance will be taking pics at 12pm at church with his guys. My ceremony is at 1pm about 2 miles away from where I get ready. It's a mass and will last about 45 minutes. Then we have some photos outside church and a 2.5 hour break before we go to the club for more photos before the reception at 5:30pm.
I want one car for myself and my dad to be transported to the church and the same car to be used for my husband and me after. And then 2 limos, one for the girls, one for the boys.
[Do I need more cars than that for other guests or parents or anything?]
My real question is: How do I work this, timing wise?
When do I have the limos come and get me, and for how long do I need to book them for? Since I will have a 2 hour break where we will probably be at my brother's house or something, not doing much of anything, do the limos need to hang around for that? Is it proper to take limos from the house to the club for the reception or should I leave everyone to fend for themselves (doesn't seem right).
Do I keep all three cars for the whole time? But once they drop us off at the reception they leave, right??
Sorry for the rudimentary questions but I am trying to make a reservation and don't even know where to begin.

Re: Limos - I need help with planning of times etc.
I had a similar issue with trying to figure out how many limos and timing it all so we wouldnt be paying more then we had to.
Is there a reason why u want a separate limo for the girls and guys? If not why not put them all in one limo? How many are in your bridal party?
In our case we are having one limo for my parents and myself and then FH and I will be in that limo after the church. We then will have one limo for the BP and another limo for the parents. We are not supplying limos for anyone else.
Hope this helps you in deciding who you want to have limos for.

You dont need 2 limos for the girls and guys after your ceremony, you can use just one. And you and FH can go in the other car.
You have to figure out how much travel time you need to get everywhere, factor in an extra 5-10 minutes on travel b/c limos arent allowed on all roads. then go from there
Are you takinh pictures at your RH before your reception? Or are you only taking pictures together after your ceremony?
This is kind of what my timeline was, some of the times are a little off as I dont have the original one anymore, dont know if it helps or not
130-pu bride/dad/BMs 215-drop bride at church 215-245-pu Groom and GMs 245-300-Groom arrives at church 300-ceremony starts 300-345-ceremony/receiving line 345-410-pictures outside church 410-430-travel to OWG 430-6-pics at OWG 6-630-travel to CB 630-700 picture with family at CB 700-CH 800-Reception
HTH-we booked for 3 hours plus 2 hours of OT but we only used one limo

Thanks guys, I will definitely examine what you have said and try and make a schedule. I have 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen so we definitely need 2 limos I think. Also I need to somehow consider how my Mom will get to the Church since my father and I will be the only ones in the bridal couple's car. Hmmm ....

have u considered using a party bus to go from the church to the reception??? We had one limo(i wanted a pretty limo for pictures lol) pick up the guys & bring them to the church, then come & pick up the girls(this worked because we were both relatively close to the ceremony location)...they also only charged us for a 'pick-up drop off' for the limo...then because our bridal party was so huge(8bm 8gm plus DH&I) we had a limo bus. I THANK GOD that we did...because we had the excursion(apparently the biggest 24passenger vehicle) as the limo to the ceremony...and there was NO WAY IN H ELL that we all would've fit even though there were only 18of us.. regardless of what the company said we would have been SO squished) so ANYWAYS, we had a party bus take us from the church to the reception...i was SO glad we did...there was so much more room, u can get up & walk around..they even had a bathroom. It was great. ANYWAYS, we used serentiy limousines in patchogue. they were fabulous to work with. I told them my situation, start times of ceremony & reception (and of course the photo time we needed) and they figured out everything else the hubby & i actually had these elaborate idea of what we thought 'we had to do' and instead they saved us SO much money! I highly reccomend them if u dont have a company yet..they also got a new fleet recently so their cars are gorgous...Good luck!
