We are using Aladin LImos-- they gave us great prices and a great deal on picking my FI up from NJ--
I was very impressed with the owner--very personable--

Diane,

I know you said Suffolk County, but I'm going to drop Royalty Limosine's name anyway. We live and are getting married in Suffolk and didn't think we wanted a company too far away. But, we liked what we saw and what we heard. (Plus, they agreed to meet with us on Christmas Eve! -- Talk about service!)

If you don't mind me asking, what were their prices like? We haven't booked limos yet and really need to do it soon.

Thanks.

Elizabeth,

Which type of car were you looking for? I have the price list in my wedding folder, so I can give you a fairly accurate price. We were able to negotiate a little from the list price, so keep in mind, the list price may not be the final word, as in most cases with any company (limo or otherwise).

Karen, I've heard that most places end up charging you a 3 hour minimum no matter what. My MOH is getting married too and she needs a limo for 1/2 hour and she is still paying a 3 hour minimum. I would be curious if there are any that are more accommodating. I suppose they do that because they will not be able to book another wedding party to service and therefore want to ensure that they make their money. (I don't like it either but I think that's probably it). Keep trying though, I hope it works out.

Kel, thanks for responding. I guess I am wondering what their fancier cars are going for. Like the Excalibur or similar. We have a small wedding party and my original thought was just a 10 person stretch but now I have been thinking that I would like to ride to the reception with my fiance (husband!) and MOH & Best man. Our other attendants are our nieces & nephews ranging from 5 - 16 years old and the more I think about it, I realized I will need more room than I thought, these wedding dresses take up a lot of room and I don't want the kids potentially stepping on it.

Elizabeth,

Royalty has a couple of Excaliburs in the $500-$550 range. Their Rolls Royces range from $325-$375. They have a 1947 Cadillac, which is really cool, for $400. The Jaguar is listed at $600. Remember, these are list prices without gratuity. They also have Lexus and Mercedes.

Thanks for the info. It seems from your comments and Kel too that they are definitely getting high marks on this board. I will check them out. Wow $1500 though, we can't afford that! Was that for 3 hours or did you go over on time? I think that we would just need a 10 passenger and one of the vintage for me and Derek and our MOH & BM.
Having seen you on your wedding day, I can sure believe you had that many bobby pins. Your hair looked gorgeous though. Have you received your proofs yet? I don't even know how long it takes to get them but it seems like everyone gets them pretty quickly. Please post some pics when you do :o)

Elizabeth,

$1500 is a lot of money, but Michelle B did say that was for three cars, and remember, that was including the price of the car, the tax and the gratuity.

OOOpppss I forgot about the overtime

You can do a website for free at www.homestead.com It was really easy to set up if you just want to post pics or you can make it more elaborate. I did one for our wedding and it has been a lot of fun now that my scanner is behaving itself again.

How did your pictures come out? I hope you are pleased

Isn't service tax 4%? I know it's not 8.5%! *NM*

I think it would be very hard to pull off in a way that conveys the right message. The good news is that no favors are neccessary anymore. I have been to three weddings in the past two years that did not have favors -- and these weren't weddings on a budget.

Every limousine company that Ive been to or dealt with said there is no tax for limousine service.
They had to learn my wedding song, and I did not hear it until that night and they sounded exactly like the cd.
I have heard good things about rainbow-my mother knew someone who used them and said they were excellent - I never listened to them because I called and they were booked for my day.

Karen H.,

Royalty lists a 10 passenger Lincoln for $350 plus the standard 20% gratuity. Remember, that is list price and you should probably make an appointment to see them. It may be tough for you getting cheaper than that because many companies give discounts when you book 2 or more limos.

Kel - Royalty Prices

Karen G,

As far as I know, they aren't listed on their website. We have a price list from meeting with them and booking them for our wedding.

but....limo tax

20 % gratuity seems to be standard, but not tax. Two different charges.

I know a woman on 47th Street. She did both the engagement and my wedding ring for us. We got a really good deal. Email me at [email protected] if you are interested in her name & #.

Wedding is in 29 days. We still have not gotten our wedding rings yet, any suggestions as to where to go? My family jeweler became ill quite suddenly and is no longer in business.
