I'm gearing up for my cousin's wedding next month and I was speaking to another family member who's also attending the wedding. She complained how much she hates... actually detest line dancing at ANY event! I told her it's a great ice breaker to get the guests on the dance floor. She continued to say it's sooo annoying and I can never keep up! LOL
How do you feel about line dancing Bride Mates?

I agree with your family member lol. I think it's fine for a birthday party or something, but I hate it at weddings.

Re: Line Dancing
I don't mind doing one but I don't want that many. I've been to weddings where it's one after another after another. That's too much for me. Do one to get everyone up and then move on.

We only did the cupid shuffle at my wedding and it was great. Everyone got up to do it.

My mom loves the cha cha slide so I told her we could do it but that will be the only one!

my fh and I are putting all line dances on the strict no play list. When i was younger I saw it as a cute thing now I find it annoying and 10+ minutes of torture. We both feel our wedding should be fun for everyone and not forcing people to learn dance moves to get on the dance floor

Line dances are also on my no play list. In the past, it was fun at all my cousins weddings. But I was younger then and it was more popular back then too.

I do agree the Electric Slide can get a little repetitive after a while. But it's fun in the beginning. ;o)

I'm with Poggi and cj52514. I can't stand the Electric Slide, but we may have one or two line dances just to appease the guests who look forward to it. Macarena anyone? :)

LOL! Yeah some line dances are more annoying than others. But I think overall, it's a great ice breaker to get people on the dance floor. ;o)

Most of my guests are not from this country, so they wouldn't know what to do in a line dance. Besides, I don't like doing line dances myself, so I guess we're not having any of those for our wedding. We might throw in the YMCA though, since FH's grandma loves that one.
