Linens, chair bows, plate chargers and such: rent or buy vendors?

Original post by Karin

Anyone renting these? The only quote I have gotten is sky high. I could literally buy them and hire someone to put them up for me cheaper than renting.
Wondering what other brides have been experiencing.
TIA!

I just had a thought - if so many people want to buy linens - what about splitting the cost? There may be other girls who want to buy the same thing as you!

If anyone is thinking gold chargers, I would split those! I will need about 200-220

I did! I found them at Micheals for VERY CHEAP.
Unfortunately, we are having them delivered to the RH just before the wedding due to space issues. If your wedding was after ours, it would have worked. I still suggest you call them. With 20% discount days, they really are under a dollar each!

Why don't you compromise and just buy the chargers and other things to dress up the table... honestly when you look at the big picture, between the natural decor of the room, your flowers, your table numbers, signs, candles, etc. you really don't need the linens or the chair covers and the linens are usually the most expensive. Buy pretty chargers wholesale and use extra decor like candles, etc. to play up your theme and decorate the room.

I had to check myself with that in the begining. Everyone wants the 'WOW!' factor... But too much can be a problem. I just have to trust in my RH and florist. Thats why I'm paying them...
