LIRR

Due to an Amtrak derailment that is blocking one of the East River Tunnels, the LIRR will be required to cancel a number of eastbound trains this evening during the PM rush hour.

I am not a LIRR rider but you guys might wanna know this.

My dad just called to tell me

It's going to be like Friday all over again and that seriously was the WORST commute I ever had!!!!!!!!!

they really need to reevaluate their systems i mean there is nothing but lirr issues every other day..im so happy i moved off the island and dont have to commute to the city from there

this time it is Amtrak's fault..but still.. Where do you live now?

THe kick in the *** is this time its not the LIRR - but b/c they rent the track space from Amtrak (yes, the LIRR does not own the tracks that go in and out of Penn Station) any time there is an issue they have to rely on Amtrack to fix it.

So in the end it not only affects the Amtrak folks but all of us - its a really a$$ backwards system.

I am so sick of working in the city bc of the stupid LIRR. I'm late to work everyday and its always late on the way home. Have any of you girls read their monthly 'on time' performance grade??? Somehow they are always over 90%....I call BS!!

Due to an Amtrak derailment that is blocking one of the East River Tunnels, the LIRR will be required to cancel a number of eastbound trains this evening during the PM rush hour. Customers should also anticipate delays. Please listen closely to announcements.

The following Babylon trains will be canceled and combined:

The 4:52 PM train from New York due in to Babylon at 5:55 PM has been canceled. Customers will be accommodated by the 5:03 PM train from New York to Babylon, which will have added stops.

The 5:19 PM train from New York due in Wantagh at 6:06 PM will be canceled. Customers will be accommodated by the 5:24 PM train from New York to Freeport, which will be extended and make all local stops to Wantagh.

The 5:40 PM train from New York due in Seaford at 6:30 PM will be canceled. Customers will be accommodated by the 5:47 PM train from New York to Freeport, which will be extended and make all local stops to Seaford.

The 6:05 PM train from New York due in Wantagh at 6:51 PM will be canceled. Customers will be accommodated by the 6:10 PM train from New York to Freeport, which will be extended and make all local stops to Wantagh.

The 6:33 PM train from New York due in Babylon at 7:35 PM will be canceled. Customers will be accommodated by the 6:36 PM train from New York to Wantagh, which will be extended and make all local stops to Babylon

THEY RAISE THE PRICE AND WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!!!!!

I can't wait till I am in school and do not need to use the stupid trains!
