Ok so im supposed to be leaving work in a half hour but i dont know if i should because of the weather my branch is out of service. . ahhhh
LIRR service on the Main Line through Mineola is temporarily suspended due to weather-related high water conditions. This affects trains on the Huntington, Port Jefferson, Hempstead, Ronkonkoma, Greenport, Oyster Bay and Montauk Branches.
Dammit. . . . . I want to go home im so tired.....

I would stick out for a little bit as opposed to waiting at Penn. You can always go shopping at Macy's and even get a bite to eat downstairs too while you wait...

I am near the Deer park train station (ronkonkoma branch) and I can hear the train passing by..... so I think that branch is clear to go
You poor thing! When I got off the train this morning at Penn they were making announcements that Port Jeff was suspended. Didn't realize it was somany other branches too! So sorry...I agree they do &uck!!!

I definatly agree the LIRR ***** half the people at my work are not in cause they are all stuck.

It took me 4 hours to get in (usually it takes an hour). For most of that time we were at a dead stop. SO ANNOYING! I know the weather was bad, but LIRR can't seem to operate in ANY inclimate weather. I think it's opening up now. The biggest problem was getting from Hicksville to MIneola.

Try the Babylon train and see if someone can pick you up. This morning was normal for our branch. They had announced that there was going to be a delay going into Penn Station but we actually got in 2 minutes than we were scheduled to arrive.

I am right there with you big time ~ I leave work at 3 ~ I was going to leave early because of the weather and there is still not train! I have no idea what to do! this stinks!

LIRR UPDATE:
The LIRR has delays and some service suspensions as a result of storm re-lated high water. See www.mta.info or below for details.
Port Washington and Ronkonkoma Branch Customers:
LIRR service remains suspended on the Port Washington Branch because of flooding and high water conditions. MTA NYC Transit is honoring LIRR tickets on the number 7 train.
Eastbound Ronkonkoma Branch service has been restored with delays of up to 2
hours. Westbound Ronkonkoma Branch service remains suspended; however we anticipate westbound service being restored at approximately 1:15 PM.
Personnel are working on restoring service and we will continue to update you as the information becomes available.
Port Jefferson Branch Customers:
Eastbound service on the Port Jefferson Branch has been restored with delays of up to 3 hours.
Oyster Bay Branch Customers:
Oyster Bay Branch service has been suspended. Bus service is operating between Mineola and Oyster Bay.
Hempstead Branch Customers
Service has been restored on the Hempstead Branch with 20-25 minute delays.
Belmont Park
Races have been canceled for the day. As a result, there is no LIRR service to Belmont Park today.
