LIRR station residentparking permit?? HELP

Fhis moving from Brooklyn to Franklin Sq, so we're not seasoned LIRR vets. I understand we need to get a resident permit to park in the LIRR station at stewart manor. Does anyone have any idea how to get said permit?
We really need to know, b/c FH works in manhattan and he can't take any time off from work.
THANKS!

the local town hall should be able to give one to you. Give them a call and find out what the procedure is.

Also, some of the train stations (like Huntington) actually have the resident parking applications at the station somewhere near the schedules. JMO, but I live in Mineola and NHP is probably the better station to go with (rather than Stewart Manor). Stewart Manor is on the Hempstead line so it takes a lot longer to get there. NHP is on a bunch of lines (Ronkonkoma, Huntington, Hicksville, and I think Oyster Bay sometimes) so there are more frequent trains running through and it only takes about 30-35 minutes from Penn Station. Welcome to the area!
