We met with Stan Weist, After Hours, The Mystic, and were trying to work out a day to see Live Wire b/c we liked their CD. Before we had a chance to do that, we saw The Mystic... and signed the contract that night. LOVE them. Who have you seen so far?
We saw Mystic and really liked them -- but we'd have to extend our budget to use them. So, the question may become -- do we spend the extra money for the band we really like or keep hunting?
Every else we've seen, pretty much we've eliminated. We just came back from a showcase w/ After Hours, and they 're still a maybe -- FH was more excited about them than I was. THis week, we're planning on seeing Stan Wiest, and maybe a couple of other bands. Hopefully I'll have more clarity by the end of the week (I'd settle for the end of the month).
Thanks for all your suggestions, they're much appreciated. And congrats on booking the band -- we keep hearing great things about them.

We used Paris and we LOVED them! We've been to another wedding with them and my sister also booked them.
They are a part of soundcheck entertainment. I highly recommend them!
We also used Paris. They were amazing! Our friend used them for her wedding this past Aug.and she loved them also. Def. check them out!!

There is a band called 'Rhapsody'. They are an amazing band. I went to a wedidng in July and they were great. The groom is a music teacher so I he knows music very well. They had the dancefloor packed all night and they were amazing. They are part of Sklyline Orchestra's.

I would recommend Renegade! They are part of LI Paramount and they are extremely highly recommended

i used stan wiest and wasn't thrilled. he was good, certainly not great. i was especially disappointed by the fact that his attempt to learn my one requested song was really bad. he also butchered my first dance song.
Code Bleu is amazing though!

for franklin wayne, I recommend Heart and Soul and Daybreaks Night
My cousin used head over heels and they terrific as well
we are using daybreak's night...they are fantastic!

I see you have Peat Moss on the list. They are FUN and GREAT but they are not excluively a wedding band. They are mostly a bar band. They also don't have a horn section or a female singer if you were looking for that. However, they are very good musicians & they put on a good show.
