List of basics

I went to Micheals last night and got
- some paper
- some grommets & the hole pucher, but I can't figure out how to close the grommet (but thats another story)
- square photo adhesives
- an album (which I tihk I'll return - its not 12*12 which I think is standardd)

I already have a friskars cutter, but it needs a new blade

What else do I need to get started?

BTW - I also ordered the scrapbooking book from the library, but that will take about a week to get to me

thanks

If I'm being a pain - let me know

I put together a layout, which I like - but it needs to be a bit spruced up...I'll work on it at the weekend

Last Q for now - did you ladies use your proofs in your layouts?
Looking through the disposable camera shots, there aren't many that capture up close shots

ASK AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You sound like you are in good shape to start - I would add an acid free pen to do some journalling.

You might want to look at the galleries at Lifetime Moments and Two Peas .

You'll get lots of great idea there!!

I am using copies of my proofs for my scrapbook. We still need them to work with the photographer and DH would kill me if I did anything to them.

Sounds like you have a pretty good start. The grommets - or eyelets - need to be set with an eyelet setter and hammer. You punch the hole, put in the eyelet, turn over then put the setter in place and tap with the hammer to set.

You might want to take a class. I had been scrapping a little on my own, then took a beginner class with a friend and I learned so much. I took one at Michaels and it was great.
