so i have been dying to tell you all the funny things that went SO WRONG on the wedding day--and none of them even phased me in the least!!
1--there was a stain on my dress. dont ask me how it got there cause the dress was locked up like fort knox. nobody noticed it.
2--smashed my head into the window getting into the limo. thought i broke my headpiece. it didnt break! whew!
3- my heart exploding in my chest waiting at the back of the church, and my little FG coming over and kissing my dress is what calmed me down. Also my dad said 'Lets do this $hit' right before the opened the church doors
4--getting rear ended in the limosuine on the GCP going to take pictures. who smashed into us? the photographer!!
5--almost passing out at westbury gardens from not eating for a week???
6--DH putting his elbow right into the cake while taking a picture i was like oh well turn it around and nobody will notice.( SEE BELOW)

dj playing the worng music for my girls to walk down the aisle to
my photographer expecting me to be able to do back flips in my dress
it pouring and having to get married indoors
my FG and BR running the other way when teh doors opened and only on FG made it down the aisle
the fg who made it down the aisle never switched her basket to rose petals..
my mom forgot her shoes at home and my dad had to go back
besides that it was AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend's programs never arrived at the church so I made a mad dash to her house and printed 80 programs on her home computer (minus the fancy paper she bought) and folded them all and drove back to the church, all within 30 minutes!

My flowers being delivered dead to me. Not just one or two almost the whole bouquet. Bm came to the rescue with that - they replaced them ASAP. At that point I would have walked down the aisle with dead flowers I didnt care too much.
The RB's fighting over the pillow - mind you I bought them 2. SIL forgot to bring her sons so my nephew and dh's nephew were fighting before we were about to walk down. It was getting to me no one was stopping them I finally intervened and said no one walks down with a pillow The pillow stayed behind to keep the peace.
Four people decided to call Dh before and tell them they werent coming. That ended up making that table of 7 change to 3. Dh worked with the BM and took that table out completely and had the 3 people escorted to another table the day of. No one told me until minutes before the Reception. I was happy they didnt tell me!

Also one of the GM were running late they were stuck in bad traffic. I had no clue why we were waiting in the lobby of the church especially since I walked in right on time. All of a sudden the GM walks in with his wife who was the reader and said I am so sorry . I said sorry for what- it was hysterical he just ran off and realized why did he even open his mouth. I was okay with it. I felt more bad for them they were so upset.

A disclaimer....NONE of this really stressed me out.
I say this to let the future brides know how things you think may get your panties in a bunch DON'T once you know there is nothing you really can do at that point....
1. BOTH of my BILs messed up their tuxes. One called in his tux measurements to the wrong shop AND one never put down his deposit!! We find this out the day of the rehearsal (2 days before the wedding). One bro had to go to Bklyn to get his and the other had to go 1 1/2 hours in to NJ at 8am on the day of the wedding to the warehouse to get his ..It all worked out...THANK YOU Dante Zeller!!!!
2. My sis left her laptop that was to play a slideshow during our first dance at the hotel the morning of the wedding...this is why I had asked another family member to bring theirs.
3. The ceremony location was to open for set up at 9am but was not made available until 1pm...my ceremony was at 2! My lovely friends managed to help keep guests inside deSeversky until the set up was complete outside.
4. My cathedral veil got in the way all day...My dad stepped on it after he gave me away, it smacked the Rev in the head, my sister chased it down throughout the ceremony, and the bridal attendant stepped on it ripping it out of my head when we went into our room to view it (by then I was over it and told her not to worry and throw it in a pile in the suite )
There's more but that's enough...I don't wanna scare people. LOL!! Again I say NONE of this spoiled my day. I had thought of most of these possibilities and made contingency plans and what I didn't accommodate, my dear friend that played DOC handled superbly.
My suggestion ladies....if you're not hiring a DOC, ask someone you trust to be a point person for your vendors/guest, hand over your planner and your cellphone....best decision I made that day besides the RH and of course DH

What a great thread!!
1. First i was running ahead of schedule. I had my hair done and even had time to stop at starbucks. I was getting my makeup done when my mom realized my veil was in upside down so the seams that were supposed to be underneath where facing up. Had to go back to the salon to have my veil fixed.
2. Next my sister (MOH) came in crying. She was late becauase her salon tried straightening her curly hair and giving her barrel curls twice and it came out terrible. She had to come home rewash her hair and put it up herself. She was running late but it worked.
3. I was in the rolls royce with my dad and my bridal party was boarding the party bus when my MOH looked up and said 'i think it's going to rain' when all of a sudden a bird POOPED on her forehead.
4. We have a beautiful ceremony and aftewards i went to thank the string quartet for doing such a beautiful job when the Deacon stepped on my train and i heard rrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppp. He ripped the hook and eyes holding my detachable train on...8/12 of them.
5. We were getting our pics done in the arboretum. Did our bridal party pics first and sent them off. We went down by the water to do pics and the photographer insisted we do a pic by a tree. Fine except the tree he chose was infested with tiny dragonflies that decided it would be fun to fly into the layers under my dress so the entire way to the RH DH was picking bugs out of my gown.
I think thats about it

OMG my priest forgot to say BOTH of these things too! I was sooooo mad!! All he said was 'please join me in welcoming the newly married couple' and then we just stood there like idiots while everyone clapped b/c we were waiting for him to say 'you may now kiss the bride'. Well, instead, he whispers to us(sarcastically) 'do you need permission to kiss??'. I was soooo freakin pissed!
