Can anyone who is getting close to their date or is already married give me some suggestions on 'little things' they end up buying before the reception (e.g., the guestbook)? I am a law school student, so I'm making good money this summer, but the summer of my wedding I'll be taking the bar and won't be working. So, I'm hoping to buy a lot of that kind of stuff now so that I a) won't have to worry about it while studying and b) can spend money while I have it rather than when I don't!

i think you can get good deals at AC Moore & Michaels.. pretty sure they have the guest book, flower girl basket, etc.. Even party city might have

Ooooo, thanks. Do you have any more suggestions of things like the guest book/basket that need to be bought? I know there are probably so many small things that people just don't remember untilt he end!

I'm 2 1/2 months away and was making a list and realized I forgot several little things. Some are baskets of some sort to put your, bubbles, candy etc in. I also decided to do a second favor for guests. HM clothes. Luggage, gift wrap for BP gifts. It actually took me a while to find great stuff that looked like it was for a wedding. Sorry this all I could think of right now Also if you are getting a dress for you Rehearsal dinner at the end of this summer would be a great time to get it, it will probably be onsale at the end of summer. So next year you will not have to pay full price. Also if you are putting oics of you and fh out at reception, some nicce photo frames. HTH

what about the petal cones.. not sure if you are doing ceremony programs.. i might try to do that myself...
ummm lets see i went to a bridal show & they suggested doing something for the guys..like cigars.. i looked into cigar roller.....$750 an hour !! HELL NO! so i am thinking about having about 50 made with our names/date
also, bathroom or slipper basket??
you can check the DIY forum for more ideas... if i can think of more i will let you know
