Can you guys help me think of little things I can do or buy now. I really want to start getting the small things done with. Like, buying the garter, guestbook.... What else am I missing here? Also, suggestions on where to get these things?

Re: little things..
As of now, these are the things I've purchased for our July 2009 wedding: centerpiece containers (florist will fill) dress (!!!) tiara BM gifts favor-making supplies (DIY favors) tea lights/glass candle holders to decorate RH (like the bar, bathroom, and any other little place I can think of)
That's about all I can think of so far. I started buying things as soon as I was engaged and was worried I might change my mind as the year went on, but so far I like everything. I say, but things when you see them and when the price is right!

Re: little things..
I'm a planner so i like to think ahead how about thank you's, grooms gift, bridal party gifts, and out of town guest goodie bags. As for favors and little extra there a place called wrap with us in syosset. I bought favors for my bf bridal shower there they have good prices and you can go to there warehouse open to the public twice a week i think or go online and view there stock and then see it in person.
definitely gifts for bp and parents persoanlized things you may want to add...like napkins, matchbooks, coasters.... DIY stuff....if you are doing...like aisle runners, programs (rough drafts) if having a mass...you can pick readings/write vows

if you're using bubbles you can get these at AC Moore. start saving coupons now! I also got bows there for the pews and added silk flower sprigs. decided I didn't want to worry about the florist doing those and getting them right so FSIL took them to the church with the best man.

I totally agree about saving the coupons or buying items 1 at a time with the '40% off 1 item' coupons at AC Moore. I took LIW brides' advice and did this over several months. I was able to collect all items for our DIY CPs for about HALF of what it would've cost if I bought everything full price!
If you already have a color scheme or theme, I'd say collect or begin to make items you're going to need. For example, I'm making our programs, so I bought the cardstock, paper and ribbon months ago in advance b/c I knew what I wanted and I shopped the sales at AC Moore.
If your theme has anything to do with seasons, you may find excellent end-of-season sales before your wedding comes. You could collect the items you need now on sale or clearance, rather than pay full price closer to your wedding date.
ETA: I just noticed your wedding date is July and your colors are pistachio & tea rose. You may find items in those colors now during end-of-summer clearance sales, and then again in early spring.

Re: little things..
If you are doing any DIY projects you can get the stuff you need and start making them like a card box, menus, programs, table numbers, etc.
