live streaming of your wedding ceremony?

has anyone heard of this? has any LIW bride ever done this?

I saw this commercial from 'Periscope Video' on telly last night and i'm really interested. I have a lot of friends/family that couldn't come because of visa issues (believe me when i say that it is HARD to obtain a tourist visa to come here!!! grrr) and this would be a perfect alternative!!!

from their website, their based in Manhattan. I'mma give them a call later.

any thoughts?

EDIT: saw in their FAQs page that it costs $600 for unlimited virtual guests. do you think it's worth spending that much???

i was actually thinking about doing this too... my family can't make it to the wedding, so i was hoping to stream it for them... but i just didn't know if the cost justified the means....

let me know how it goes after you call!

thanks!

i agree ... unless that $600 includes a videographer of sorts who will be able to give you the footage.

Will skype be able to support multiple video connections? From my understanding, skype is a one-to-one connection? (I might be wrong) That was one of my main concern.

yea.. skype is only to 1 person... not multiple...

unless they are all in one location.. it might not work..

and you also gotta ck to see if your RH has wifi access...
