I am starting to freak out about where we are going to live when we come back from our honeymoon. Wae dont live together now but want to buy a house in the near future. I am stressing about all these payments for the wedding coming up and then having to take out a mortgage.
Anyone else having these problems ?

YUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We currently live in an apt in my FIL's house. The arrangement is fine....for now. As a married woman I want to live in our own indep apt or house. We are trying to figure out if we can afford to get a house b/f the wedding or if we have to suck it up & come back to the apt. Its really hard.

OMG! I'm so happy someone is going through the same thing as me! We can't agree on where we want to live at all! Its torture. I'm dreading the idea that we may have to live at my parents house for a few months. I just can't deal with it. I think we are going to start looking in October, since we'll probably fight about every house, condo, and co op we view. Its super stressful though!

It definitely is..... I am nervous signing anything on top of wverything I have already signed for the wedding ..... y cant i just have alot of $$$$$

It took us forever to figure everything out. I would recommend doing a lot of research and see as many houses/apartments as possible. Don't rush into anything, there is so much on the market right now.

Yup. Of course FH and i would love a house now but it's def not do-able. We are going to rent for a year or two and then look to buy,
We don't live together now and there isn't room in either of our houses for us to live there for a little.

we are closing on our condo tomorrow! but if we weren't we would be living at an apt that my fahter owns....fh hates the idea...but the very low rent has helped us save $$$

same with us. I do want to a less expansive and bigger apt. at the end of the lease next yr, I feel that we are over paying right now.

We plan to get an apartment a month before the wedding and we will move our things in, so we can have a home to come back to after the honeymoon. Either me or FH will be staying in the apartment before the wedding.

this is the biggest stress that we currently have. FH & I live in an apartment in my parents house. it is good because there are a limited number of bills. (only rent, yes we pay rent & cable) having so few bills helped us to be able to afford car payments & insurance. we have lived here for 3 years & i am ready to move far, away from my parents. its such a stress causer. however with FH still in school & not working yet it would be very irresponsible of us to move into something we can't afford. once FH finishes school in December, & gets a job (hopefully he wont have to do months of job searching) we will begin to look at apartments. we are planning on living in an apartment for a while, then buying a summer/vacation home upstate, NY, then looking for a house in Brooklyn.

We're living with my parents right now and currently searching for apartments...FH wants to buy a house now, but we just don't have the money
Hopefully we can afford one a year or two after the wedding.

FH and I have lived together for 3 years...we lived in an apartment owned by FFIL for the first 2 years and at the beginning of 2009 we moved into our first independent apartment...with a rent payment close to a mortgage. I am stressing out (I don't think FH stresses much!) about buying a house when we are married. We will use money we get from the wedding as a downpayment and buy something within 3 months of being married.

We both have our own apartments, but his is a bit bigger than mine. We will either move into his place after the wedding or find a new apartment entirely, and rent for a few years while we save. The apartment he has is in a multiple family home that his parents own (they don't live there), so we can rent for cheap.

So stressful... we live in an apartment in FIL's house. Very low rent payments, and we pay our own cable/internet/phone. However, with student loans we both still have (and will have for awhile) we STILL haven't been able to save $$$. We both want to get out of there asap but I don't know how we could possibly afford mortgage payments plus utility bills (things we take for granted now).

We just bought our house in December. It has been tough saving for the wedding and everything but now that is one last thing we have to worry about : )
Now is the time to buy, the house we found was so reasonable

yes all the time, esp. when you see a house you want and then realize you cant afford it we really need to save up more so we can get more of a down payment on a house but i dont know i guess we will end up renting.. only time will tell..

We are paying for wedding alll by ourselves.. WOuld love to move into a house but realistically not sure if that will happen!!!
