Will you rent or buy? Do you see yourself staying in New York or relocating?

I would love to leave, but unfortunately I can't go anywhere for another 8 years due to my custody agreement.

We are in a similar situation. We'd love to leave the island, but FH will never leave his son. They have joint custody. FH wants to stay until his son graduates high school. Totally understand that. I have friends that moved to NC that are living the life because they are paying half of what they were paying here. It's sad. This is why so many people in their 20s and 30s are moving away, they can actually have a life.

if i could move i would just to have a better house for cheaper money but the only way he'd move is if his kids come and then that means that 'she' comes and well...no one wants that lol

I hear you on that one. FHs ex has made our life rather interesting. He said he knew I truly loved him when I didn't leave after one of her many psychotic episodes. We'd love to have full custody of his son. It would be a much healthier situation for him.

No. She's the type that is psychotic on the phone and behind closed doors cause god forbid anyone think she is anything but perfect. We're convinced she's bipolar.,,,,not to mention a habitual liar. She creates stories that she believes. It's quite scary actually.
