Hey guys!! So what is everyones living situation right now and what do you plan to do when you get married??
Right now I live with my parents and FH lives with his...we usually stay at either ones house and just go back and forth...so annoying because I have a dog and I bring her back and forth with me....after we get married we will either rent or if we can affod it get a condo....I think though I will lose my mind with this back and forth stuff..but its so hard to not see eachother everyday....so I deal with the 30 min drive...

FH and I share an amazing apartment right now (we moved in together 3 weeks after we got engaged, although we had decided to do so months earlier but were waiting for our leases to end). We'll probably stay in this apartment for one more year after we get married (for my last year of law school) and then it depends on whether we stay out here or if we move to NYC. If we move to NY, we'll have to rent an apartment since we'll want to be in the city, but if we stay out here we can buy a nice house easily since we'll both be making good money and COL is way lower.
Living together is the best thing ever. Seriously.

FH and I live in a house that he bought almost 8 years ago and will probably stay there and put an extension on it unless the price of houses drops drastically, which I don't see happening.

right now we both live with our parents, but we live 10 minutes away. he usually sleeps over every night anyway and during the day we each go to work/class etc and get to spend time after all thats said and done.
after the wedding his parents are letting us live in their house rent free in their apartment until we can afford a place of our own to live.

I have pretty much the same situation with both of us living with our parents. We used to go back and forth a lot but lately, FH has just been staying at my house mostly. We have been planning to get a mother-daughter house with my parents but I am starting to get nervous about my parents' procrastination about getting things done in the house. We need to get it on the market soon! I don't want to get married and be living in my parents' house with no space for FH and I but one room! Ahh

both living with our parents right now... i would love to be able to BUY right after we get married... but we aren't sure iof where FH will be working (currently looking for a job in education) so we may just RENT an apt for a year

i have an apt on the 3 rd fl of my parents house, FH is moving in soon, we are doin mini renovations right now so he should be in within a month or so but hes there every day !!

My fiance bought a house that we live in now about a year ago. I am very grateful we have that part done. I honestly couldn't imgine buying a house and planning/paying for a wedding at the same time!!

I wish we could live together My dad is old fashion and is totally against us moving in together before we are married. we arent even allowed to sleep togther if he stays over My dad makes him sleep in the basement... it has a finished apt in it but its so far away! FH hates it and refuses to sleep over unless he has too. In a way I think it will be more fun because after we are married it will feel so much more different then if we were living together before oh well...we dont really have a choice, im daddys little girl so seperate we are. I do sleep at his house sometimes but I cant get away with it too often

Yea, I love it here. We have been here almost 2 years and FH is itching to get out of the city. He thinks we can get a bigger, nicer place in Queens. He is probably right, but I don't wanna leave!!!!!! All my friends live within 10 blocks of me and I walk to work...can't get any better than that!

I rent in Queens. He rents in NJ.
Post-wedding --> hopefully we rent in Queens until we can buy a place.

My parents are the same way! Except that we actually live together already in an apartment, which doesnt thrill them at all, but we are 3000 miles away from them so what are they going to do?? But every time we come home to visit them, they make him sleep in the basement, which happens to be my dads smoking room so its so disgusting and FH never wants to stay at my house! My mom says 'Its just weird for me' even though she knows we sleep in the same bed every night at our apt. So even when THEY come to visit US, they refuse to stay in our apartment in the extra bedroom because its 'just too weird'. They always end up spending money to stay in a hotel!

We both live with the Parents but I practically live at Pat's. I sleep over on the weekends and we spend a lot of time together. Once we get married, we are living in his parents house and they are giving us the house in abut 3 years b/c they just built a house down South!

FH's parents are retired, and only live in LI for 4-6 months a year, so FH lives at their house.
I was renting a place in the Village till I got out-priced with my last rent increase, so I rented a place in Forest Hills in May. As the story goes, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in September, so my absolutely fantabulous broker (who I highly recommend if anybody needs help finding a place in Queens) found a new tenant for my apartment so I could break my lease without penalty and I moved back home to mom and dad while I went through all my treatments. Which is where I am now.
FH and me plan to start house hunting in late spring/early summer and hopefully buy a place before the wedding.

FH and I moved in together a year ago (my parents and FH's idea) it totally took us to a whole new level of our relationship! Anyway we live in the appartment of his grandfathers house...its really cute and we are slowly redoing it. The house is in FH's name so we are kinda set for now.
