I was starting to design my christmas labels for my christmas cards and I hit a roadblock...How do I word the return address when we are living together but not married yet? It made me think of when it comes time to do my invites. We are paying for the wedding ourselves so the invite wording would be something like
Mary Brown and John Smith request your presence at their wedding yada, yada, yada....
But how do we do the return address? Is it just on one of our names or both???

I THINK the invites go back to the bride (cause traditionally she/her family pays) so I think they return goes to you.

I agree - traditionally the RSVP cards go back to the bride's family. We went to a wedding a few weeks ago where the couple were living together and the RSVP had just the bride's name on it.

Our return address is my parent's address with mine and my fh's first names.

The person that I ordered my invitations from said that if you are living together (and hosting the wedding), the return address should only include the bride's name.

I didn't use our names at all. I just bought an embosser with our address and embossed the backs of all the envelopes.

my friend lived w/her fi and she just put her name as the return address....they were both paying for the wedding........ edited to say that i had address labels made and i just put my fi first name and my first name w/my address........
