After the wedding, are you going to be living in the same house as your inlaws?
My FH owns his own house and his mom lives here with us.....i dont mind her she is a great person, and i love her....but i cant wait to have something of my own, theres just something about having your own privacy.

No, we do not want to live with any of our parents. We will hopefully buy a house by the time we get married or rent for a short period of time.

God I hope not! I love my FIL's but I would never be able to live with them. Or my mother, we'd end up killing eachother!

I am now... its just my FFIL. FH and I live downstairs and he lives up. it is great. we happen to have a wonderful relationship

I am not going to live with my inlaws. My FH even has problems with his parents. But we are thinking of buying a house (Down the line) in his old neighborhood.

we are living with my parents rent free for a year or two - they are building a whole apartment upstairs for us. . .only stinky part - no seperate entrance ( but we are working on that LOL)
we could live with my parents bc my mom lived with HER inlaws for her entire marriage until my grandma passed recently. . .so she KNOWS about privacy - she has already told me that she will NEVER come upstairs unless we specifically ask her to and she told me to always lock the door so that no one in my family will just wander up there. . .
i dont know if i could live with HIS parents though - i dont know if i would be comfortable. . . my parents LOVE FH - but i could see his mom thinking i am not 'taking good enough care of him' and that would be too stressful!

i too am in that boat...we build her an apartment in the basement and now his sister is going to be moveing in(she is cool but smokes) but they are not going to pay much rent 400 bucks if that ...when we could esaly get 1200!!! i can't wait to move into our own place and 'start' our own life/family

Nope-we lived with FHs parents for a little more then a year, and really it wasnt so bad-but you dont get the privacy you would like
