Why do they censor this site? To the management, it renders the service USELESS if we can't get all opinions. I believe you should let people know that all negative posts about your vendors will be deleted. If that is not the case, please let me know. It seems pretty Big Brother-ish. I have relied heavily on this site, and now I'm thinking it's paid advertisements and other BS. Please advise.

Re: LIW Censors??
FYI: Read my review.......not all vendors got a raving review from me and it wasnt pulled.
I dont knwo what the reasoning is but certain things get pulled due to lawsuits, certain things can be considered bad info and can be used against you, so in actuality LIW (in most cases) is just trying to cover your and their asss from any legal action

Its all about how you word it, if their automatic search finds it they pull it.
If you can beat their computer, your review stands.
...
I removed the babling nonensense about vendors. I'm so out of it

It kind of reminds me of the truman show where no one wanted truman to know his life was a tv show and everytime someone got close to telling him they magically were whisked away by the marching band. That's kind of like what happens to the negative posts here, the marching band has them.
that is a perfect analogy

Re: LIW Censors??
sorry that your thread got pulled...but its a topic that has come up many times on LIW about whether its 'fair' or not for them to pull stuff about vendors. it can be quite frustrating i imagine.
i have read some threads on the Bride's Review board that never got pulled, that were unfavorable to a vendor on here. some vendors will not tolerate a single bad review or anything and demand that LIW take it down---while others have let them stay up. in the end -- they are the ones paying for this site to be free for us, so i can see how LIW wants to ensure that they and the poster aer covered for any subsequent legal action such as libel.
but in the end, it obviously stinks for the brides who feel their words aren't being heard.
