Police arrested a Syosset man on charges of driving while intoxicated after a crash early yesterday that left a New Hyde Park resident fighting for his life with critical injuries. Vito Coppola, 22, of Saturn Court, struck a tree after he lost control of his vehicle on Woodbury Road in Cold Spring Harbor at 3:10 a.m., police said. A passenger, Chad Sinito, 28, sustained severe head injuries and was transported to Huntington Hospital, police said. Another passenger, Sinito's twin brother, Jarret Sinito of New Hyde Park, was treated for a broken arm, while a third passenger, Brandon Rappaport, 22, of Hicksville, had a head injury, police said. Coppola received minor injuries, police said. He is scheduled to be held by police overnight and is due in District Court today. Police said the incident is still under investigation
