so i have heard that some 's here use LIW ladies as seat fillers if they need guests to meet a minimum. how does this work? can someone explain this to me. i have heard of thisbefore but, do they come as a guest, and leave a gift? or are they really only there to help you out, so they don't have to leave a gift?

I was filler at many of them and FH and I still gave a gift. I just can't come empty.

I have a thougt on this.
I think that if a LIW bride nees fillers and is aking girls to come, the bride should not expect a gift.
The point of having a filler is you are going to loose the money anyway if the seat isnt filled. Why not have a few people enjoy the night so the bride at least gets SOMETHING for the money already being spent.
The money is lost either way.
If I were a seat filler I would bring a small gift. Bottle of Champagne, or wine or something like that Just to say thanks for having me. I would want to bring a small something.
But if were me asking for the fillers, I would specifically say DO NOT BRING A GIFT AT ALL. Come and enjoy. The money is spent and I dont want it to go to waste.
