LIW Prayers- update
So this weekend we had to bring my grandpa to the hospital where when he stablizes will then be placed into a nursing home where he will spend his last days.
We saw this coming, as his dementia and overall health has been on a constant decline, however took such a drastic turn for the worse on Saturday.
I have never had someone so close to me be so sick and actively dying, this is my first and I thought I would handle it better and be stronger. Unfortunately my emotions get the best of me.
So 2 things ladies.
#1-I thank u all for this site, it along with the overall planning of my wedding has been my go-to in order to get my mind off of my grampy.
#2- please pray that god will wtch over him, protect him and comfort him.
Thank you
UPDATE: This afternoon grandpa passed away. God took him from his suffering and made him into an angel looking over me in heaven. Thank you for all of your prayers. He was very comofrtable in his last days.
I was visiting him at the hospital daily and he was unconscious but Tuesday night he woke up a little. He was lucid for 10min maybe. it took a lot but I sat next to him and said 'hi grandpa, you're going to feel better soon'. He looked me in the eyes and said 'I know'. He said over and over 'don't cry no more'. Then I showed him my save the date (which I had just received that day) I explained to him what it was and said I'm going to put it on your night stand, and he said 'ok'. This is someone with dementia who normally could not hold a convo. But I swear for those few minutes he understood me.
My grandma did not go Thursday and Friday to visit him, but I finally convinced her to go this am. Well I told grandpa last night, 'grandmas coming with me tomorrow' (mind you, he's been in a coma state on a morphine drip since Wednesday). Well we visited him this am left around 1:30pm, he passed 2pm. I swear to god he waited for grandma. I swear!
So the purpose of those stories was not to depress you, but to give hope that this proves to me that there is a higher being and something else out there. And something after this life. So again, thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
