So, I got a phone call from some guy earlier saying he is from LIW and that FH and I won a $100 gift certificate or something to Wedding World in Hauppague. Didn't even know I entered a contest. Did anyone else ever receive something like this?

Someone on the 2010 board posted a few days ago how she got a similar call about winning $250 for some bridal shop (I forget.) She said she never entered anything, it was just random!

I got the same call today, except it was for 500. I'm a little weary of it being a scam type thing so I didn't take it too seriously. Maybe I should?

I was worried about the same thing. I felt sort of uneasy speaking with him as he was asking tons of questions. I'm interested to see if other girls have received this as well.

I a call from wedding work (i think) saying the same thing a few days after I joined LIW. I was skeptical so I called the store. They said it was true so I went w a BM and checked it out that weekend. There was a catch to the prize and it was that I had got a 100 off the photo if I went with there whole wedding package thing. I ended up not doing it but, it was worth the time I spent looking into it.
