LIW-- Why do I keep getting censored?!?!?!

i understand all points.

BUT I think that people selling old/used wedding stuff VS. posting dogs for adoption are quite different.

Announcing a dog up for adoption isnt selling anything, or using this site for a profit of any sort. Selling old wedding stuff IS.

I personally think theyre two totally different things.

i agree that posting your URL is advertising, personally i dont see anythign wrong with it.. i can understand how this site owners would like to stray away from that. I'm sure you can too, like if someone had THEIR url on YOUR site.

I dunno, JMO... and i bet Mary is right about your site getting loads of hits!

Also, it would have been nice if LIW had at least sent me an FM or gave a heads up that they would be changing my title or at least a reason as to why they did it, rather than just remove it randomly.

We didn't go in and change it - it's in the programming. Happens automatically.

In regard to brides selling left over wedding (lets call it) stuff. We have allowed it for a short period of time. Why? Because many have asked us if they could while we develop a section dedicated to doing this. And a bride having a few extra favors that she wants to get ride of is not a business. Please keep in mind this site is supported by the vendors. Thus there is no other advertising allowed. And a few years ago someone posted about their business and over the following few days there were so many posts about this one and that one also owning a business the boards looked like classified ads and not a wedding site. Also, the not allowing of a URL in the title has nothing to do with any advertising. It has to do with someone that placed a vulgar URL in their title thus we programmed the site to not allow any URLs in the title. In an earlier post someone mentioned that you have to draw the so called line somewhere. That's what this is. For anything to run smooth you need to have guidelines. They are there to prevent things from getting out of hand. Or on a big scale to prevent chaos. We don't necessarily have to like them, but they are in place for a reason. And over the long haul they benefit everyone. Thank you all for your understanding and support.

what about if you link was just to your wedding website? is that fair to me, i don't have anything to sell there
