I just wanted to say hi, because I've got to get out of here on time today - gotta rush home and work on my new scarf that I'm making! I'm doing alternating knitting 2 rows and purling 2 rows and it looks AWE-SOME!!!!!!

Ooh, Farah, I think that's called a Moss Stitch!

My mother tried explaining it to me, but whenever she explains anything I automatically tune her out after the first 5 words, so she could have been explaining how to change the oil in a car!

I have to go to Michael's this week to get picture frams (we finally started decorating!) and I'm going tp pick up some fun yarn. Have you ever made an afghan? How do you sew the pieces together? With yarn, right?

Can I just say, Judy Blume, that when I read that book, I had to ask my Mother what 'BELT' she was talking about! I was waaaaay too young to be reading about old-fashioned menstrual thingys.

You don't have to be old... my sister is only 39 and she had to use them for a bit! That was only 25 years ago!

She claims those belts made her a feminist because only someone who hates and dismisses women would make them use those!

Maybe my mom was just crazy old-fashioned! I think my sister only had to use them a few times.

and my scarf is even longer and even fab-er than it was yesterday

ETA: My grandmother used to extol the virtues of belts for keeping everything in place while sleeping Now she doesn't have to worry about it at all! Lucky thing
