Lizard Designs Brides

I have a question for those of you using Lizard that have already submitted your text. I'm doing that right now. How did you submit the map to your church? What reception card wording did you use? What RSVP wording did you use? Thanks!!

Since we ordered 125 invites, we are getting the 2 sided directional cards- one side with directios to my church and the other with directions from the church to the reception which most people don't include. I think in the Lizard design booklet she sends she recommends a company to insert the map. Let me know if you need anymore info!

Thanks for your info! I am getting the doubled sided direction cards also. I booked her back in December and just went through the packet again. She did not include anything on the company for the maps. Maybe I'll email her now about that. I can't figure it out!

I am a Lizard Designs Bride too!!!!!!!!!!!
She is amazing....I sent out my invitations last week and got calls already telling me how beautiful they were!

I used the same wording as said above but I added on the RSVP card a line for accepts or declines.

I didn't do the map on my direction cards because I couldn't figure it out but had Liz put the web address to my hall after the direction text so people can check it out and see the directions from there.

BTW I just sent out my invitations last week and everyone is calling saying they are the nicest invitations they ever saw : ).

Sage & Karen: so thrilled to hear that guests are raving about the invitations! My mom thinks they aren't formal enough but my FI and I LOVE THEM!
Also, love the idea of the web address to the reception place - awesome!

Christine- let me see if my packet has the name of that company who does the maps and I will get back to you!

Thanks girls - I have another question. Did you submit the text with the fonts exactly how you wanted them? I can't figure out all the words that are supposed to be capatlized.

I love the invitations! Liz custom designed my design back in October. I love them so much!

SAGE: I loved yours and I am sure you are so happy to hear the rave reviews!

Christine- the question you had about the maps is found on Lizard's website under 'Frequently Asked Questions' - Maps. Basically, you can use Snappymap.com. I think Snappymap then contacts Lizard Designs to discuss colors/fonts etc, but everything else concerning your map (including payment) must be handled exclusively by Snappymap.com

As for the fonts, I did chose the fonts -
Shelly for the names of me and my FI and then I think Copperplate for the other printing. I couldn't figure out the capitalization either but hoped that she could based on the sample I fugured everything is in block (similar to all caps) and then our names upper and lower. Don't sweat it, if you don't like the sample you get in the mail she will e-mail you other revised choices. GOOD LUCK!!

I am now busy doing my spead sheet for the addressing

Thanks, I just emailed her my questions. I already picked my fonts, I didn't mean to write that. I have seen the sample b/c it was custom designed for me so she sent the sample back in Nov. And we changed the fonts via email. But, none of the wording was mine. So, I don't know if she'll send another actual sample.

She will definitley send you another sample with all your information on it so you can approve it exactly as she will print it.......is your custom design on the webpage? What does it look like?

Hey Sept: They fonts I used was American Unical. (sort of celtic looking) but I wanted to make sure they read it EXACTLY the way I wanted it. SO I wrote it in the normal style & told them the font I wanted.

I used the same wording they used for everything.

I also got SO many compliments over my invitations. People couldn't get over how different they were. They really loved them.

Dina - my invitation is Hannah. She put it up on the page in February. It goes perfectly with my wedding. My BM are wearing navy and carrying sunflowers!! She worked with me to design it - I was so happy! That snappymap site is new. When I booked with her there was no info on that and its not in my packet. I just emailed her. I don't want to pay to have a map made - I will send her the map my church gave me. She must have started working with them in 2003.

Irish Tracy: your invites are sooo nice !
Christine: I loved the Hanna invites -those sound perfect! for your wedding. I am using Elise invitations with the red background since my BMs are in dark red.
