FH and I were thinking of doing a local honeymoon (maybe Maine or Massachusetts or Rhode Island) Just somewhere with a nice view to relax. He actually can't take a long vacation until next year (which is when we want to go to Hawaii) Can anyone recommend a great place with a beautiful view, just to sit and relax and do nothing!! lol Close to NY!! Recommendations please!! :)

How about atlantic city? Even going out east. Its so different out east. You could go wine tasting or the beach. They have a lot of nice restaurants in greenport too. It has a country feel. My fiance and I do that when we don't have a lot of time but want to get away and it is very relaxing.

I was thinking Boston.. I found an awesome hotel in Boston then looked at the price of $740 per night and almost passed out..lol
It was a luxury hotel, water views, absolutely gorgeous! But ahhh so expensive!

Boston is so much fun and has a ton of great places to eat and go out. Cape Cod would be awesome, as well.
Maine is very relaxing (where I'm originally from) and you could pick a place on the lake or go to the ocean. Places like Kennebunk, Wells or further up is Camden and Bar Harbor.
I'm going to Newport, RI for my bachelorette party and we're staying at the Newport Beach hotel and suites and it sounds amazing. Right on the water, has amazing rooms, a spa and a bunch of restaurants and bars nearby.

how may days? what about a cruise from Nj or NY- no flying they are usally like 5 days i believe and go to bermuda or bahamas

My DH and I are going to Kennebunkport, Maine for our actual honeymoon this coming May. We have been to Portland, Maine before which is more of that downtown city vibe. Also, their beaches are stunning. And its absolutly peaceful there. Bonus, is awesome seafood. Here is a good website to research Maine: www.visitmaine.com
