Location for Pictures?

I had my heart seet on Old Westbury Gardens but their fee is like almost$1,000 for 1 1/2 and hour. So I need sugestions for parks and/or gardens in Nassau to take pictures after the cermony.

Sands Point Preserve. It is GORGEOUS. It is on the water and also has castles that you can take pics in front of.

$1,000???? I am having pics taken at Westbury Gardens and it is costing me $350. What month are you getting married in? That is insane.

I originally wanted to go to OWG as well but they were highly overpriced with their fee. I'm going to the Planting Fields and their fee is $120.

Its only $275 for me....i think it depends on what time of day too. I never saw anything near $1,000.

1,000?!?!?! I just got my confirmation today. The price goes up the later in the afternoon you take your pictures, but i think the highest is $350.00.

What about the Planting Fields? Heard that is pretty, but its a first come first serve type of park..

Re: Location for Pictures?

I guess I should have explained how I get ot $1,000 (althought its actually somewhere between $700-$800)

We are arriving at the park around 5 or 5:30 PM , and the fee to enter the park at that time is $435 for 5PM and $475 for 5:30, but that is for up to 20 people, our BP alone is 20 people not including us, then including us and our immidiate family it would add more than 20 more people. so that would be an additional charge of $250.
Which brings me to somewhere around $700, but at that point it might as well be $1,000.

I can't tell you how much I had my heart set on it, but I can't justify that expense on top of what we are paying for Photography/videography

Oh I see how that is now. IF you have more than 20 people, then yeah it blows!

Gerry Park in Roslyn, and Garden City Gazebo are both lovely and next to nothing. (Gerry Park is $50 and Garden City Gazebo is free I believe)

Just so you know, I feared the same thing about OWG, but their prices aren't bad at all.

Arrival Time /Total Amount Due
Between 9am and 3pm / $275
3:30pm / $315
4:00pm / $355
4:30pm / $395
5:00pm / $435
5:30pm / $475

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's for an hour and a half, which should be plenty of time.

ETA: I didn't realize you had such a big bridal party, which would increase the costs. But I'll keep the prices up there in case anyone wants to know them.

One of the photographers we met with mentioned OWG b/c he said if it rains, they let you use the inside mansion. Well, this was only true if it was in the winter months...not a benefit for me. You might want to check into that as well for your own curiosity.
