I went to a wedding here last night, and it was very nice! The food was great and the staff was very attentive. Just a heads up, though...the bride and groom had a cheesecake bar for dessert, and it made me violently ill!!!! I don't know if something in the cake just didn't agree with me, but right after I took a bite of my dessert, I literally had to run to the bathroom I don't know if anyone else got sick because I had to leave right after.

I'm getting married there next April, but no cheesecake bar! Are you sure it was the cheesecake that made you sick? Taking a bite of it and running to the bathroom sounds way too quick for food poisoning. Maybe it was something you ate earlier in the evening? That sounds horrible that you felt crappy!

It could've been something else, I'm pretty sure that was it. Before the cheesecake, I hadn't eaten anything else for at least two hours and felt fine. I had only three drinks over the course of six hours, so I know I wasn't sick from alcohol. Once I ate the cheesecake, there was no turning back lol I wouldn't say I got food poisoning, but maybe the cake had started to turn? I'm not sure. I feel fine today. I was very sick on and off for about two hours last night.

Your digestive system usually doesn't work quite that quickly. A 2012 bride thought guest at her venue got food poisoning from the food but the emergency room doctors concluded it was a virus. Cheesecake bar sounds DEEELLLIIIISSSHHHHH!

Eeek...well, I am not a biologist or a nurse or doctor, but I have to say I really am convinced that that's what it was. I got sick within 45 minutes of eating it. My OP made it sound like it was instantaneous. It could also be that something in it affected only me, not that it was necessarily bad. Everyone did seem to enjoy it.
Anyhow, I'm sure the cake was fine. It may have just been me. Lombardi's girls, you have nothing to worry about! It was a very nice event
