Lombardi's on the Sound or Hamlet Willow Creek???? Help!!!

Hi! We spent the whole weekend looking at reception halls and have narrowed it down to these two: Lombardi's on the Sound and Hamlet Willow Creek.

To me they both have their pros and cons. Lombardis is in a beautiful location overlooking the water and looks impressive, they are also known for their fabulous food and the menu is huge. There would be so much food! I am not thrilled with the chairs and window drapes there(am I being too picky???) but I feel like it effects the whole room. It is also more $$ so I feel like it should have better chairs and all that. Another thing is the service, I have read some poor reviews of their customer service.

I like the indoor decor a lot better at Willow Creek. Willow creek is very new looking and has maybe a 'cozier' feel to it. I love all the wood and windows and even the slate on the back patio. It overlooks the golf course and pond. I do not know how the food is there and their menu is not as extensive as Lombardi's. They are also not as well known.

So.... if you could give me any feedback on either place... either as a bride or a guest, that would be extremely helpful!!!

I have only know someone who went to a wedding at Lombardi's on the Sound. They had an amazing time, loved the food and the wait staff. They said it was one of the best wedding they went to.

Maybe look around at a few more places then go back to both and write out a list of pros and cons of both places.

i'm booked at lombardi's on the sound and i thought the same about the window drapes and such but when i saw the place done up for a wedding, it was incredible! i had to book there! ive had nothing but good experiences with them so far so thats my vote!! and u cant beat the food and view!

I was just in a wedding on 10/12 and my best friend got married at Lombardis on the Sound. It was absolutely gorgeous and the food was fantastic. There were just a few things....because of the outside deck and the gorgeous night, a lot of people were outside on the deck rather than inside dancing. Another thing...how many people are you planning on having? She had 120-125 and another 20-30 or so people would have made it way too crowded. The oval tables are also very narrow so if you choose lombardis make sure you do not sit more than 10 at a table. We had 12 and could not move. It was gorgeous though!!! GL!

Hamlet Willow Creek!! My friend is a bridal attendant there and she thinks it is an amazing place to work! The food is excellent (since she lives on it when she's working) and the talent of their chefs is unbelievable. We didn't book it because we felt it was too small for us but if you book there I don't think you will be disappointed. Barbara is a wonderful person too work with as well when planning!

Thanks for your responses!!! I still dont know what we should do, there are so many different variables, I'm still torn! any other thoughts????

I am getting married at the Hamlet Willow Creek because of the decor and Barbara. She is awesome! I have been to a wedding at Lombardis on the sound and it was really nice too though. Tough decision!! Good Luck

We are having our wedding at Hamlet Willow Creek - it was the first place we looked at, when we looked at the other 10 or so places we kept comparing them to willow creek, and nothing compared!

Hamlet Willow Creek for me too! Barbara was so helpful and didn't pressure us at all. I went to an expo at Lombardi on the sound and I stil love Hamlet better. I think you get more for your money at Hamlet.

Hello! Yes this is a thread from January but I did end up choosing Willow Creek and I am so excited!!!! I love that their are some more Willow Creek Brides to chat with!!

I can only speak of my experience and it wasn't the best at Lombardi's.....never been to Hamlet Willow Creek but I've heard good things.

This is an old thread but I ended up picking Willow Creek and I am VERY happy!!!! I ended up having a very negative experience with Lombardis on the sound and would not recommend them. Barbara at willow creek is awesome and so helpful!!!
